Take a Journey through our
Spirit/Matter Universe
OUR OBJECTIVE UNIVERSE
by Jef Bartow
Our spirit/matter universe is made up of a duality of objectivity and subjectivity. Within objectivity, our spiritual and material energies are organized within what has been called Planes (worlds, states etc.). When I say our, I mean those spiritual and material energies that we as humans normally do or have the potential to experience. Those energies beyond our normal capability are traditionally labeled cosmic energies, cosmic planes, cosmic worlds, etc.
The perennial philosophy, which is an integration of Eastern and Western thought, various theologies, psychology and science organizes both energies and consciousness into levels. Most commonly accepted is that there are seven levels, although the number 12 best symbolically represents wholeness. By updating the perennial philosophy, we come to an organization of our universe as seven outer objective Planes and five inner objective Planes.
The chart below demonstrates how these outer and inner planes interrelate. If it doesn't seem readily apparent, this organization of Planes is similar to an octave of a piano keyboard. Also outlined are the various sub levels of energies which comprise each Plane. As this article series will demonstrate, this organization unravels many puzzles and mysteries that have not been answered within traditional models of our universe.
